About Kundalini
Kundalini Yoga is a physical and meditative discipline that combines postures (asanas), breath (pranayama), and the chanting of mantras. Kundalini refers to the energy that lays dormant at the base of the spine. Through the practice of yoga, this energy is raised and travels up the spine, through the chakras, creating an overall sense of well being and a heightened sense of awareness. The word Kundalini literally translates as a “coiled female serpent.”
Traditionally the techniques of Kundalini were only communicated from Master to disciple and through a long initation process. In 1969 Yogi Bhajan began teaching Kundalini Yoga openly to the public.
Yogi Bhajan defines yoga as such: “Yoga means a discipline of mind and body. There is nothing mysterious about it. Yoga does not explain the meaning of life… It's aim is to develop a quality of mind which can perceive reality and acquire self knowledge.”
About Yogi Bhajan
Yogi Bhajan, Master of Kundalini Yoga, arrived in the United States in 1969 with a stated purpose: “I have come to create Teachers, not to gather disciples.” He then founded 3HO – the Healthy, Happy, Holy Organization, based on his first principle: “Happiness is your Birthright.”
Through the Aquarian Teacher Program, Yogi Bhajan has trained thousands of KRI Certified Kundalini Yoga Teachers. In 1994, the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association (IKYTA) was formed to further spread these priceless teachings uniting Kundalini Yoga teachers worldwide.

We keep teaching and healing to help humanity have tools to bring them into a consciousness with a foundation to be healthy, happy, and whole. We will find you somewhere soon. We will chant, pray, dance, and share food in laughter and light. We will know and live the most important reason to be alive: to love and to be loved.
